Membership Categories
The Philippine Academy of Vascular and Interventional Neurology welcomes individuals dedicated to advancing the field of stroke and cerebrovascular care through clinical excellence, research, education, and advocacy. To recognize the diverse backgrounds and contributions of its members, the Academy offers several membership categories, each tailored to specific qualifications and levels of involvement. These include Full, Regular, Associate, and Honorary Memberships - each with defined privileges and responsibilities. Through this structured membership framework, PAVIN ensures a collaborative and inclusive community that supports professional growth, fosters interdisciplinary cooperation, and upholds the Academy’s mission
to lead in vascular and interventional neurology in the Philippines and beyond.
Full Member
A qualified member must be a certified Fellow in good standing of the Philippine Neurological Association and the Vascular Neurology Subspecialty Board, actively participate in Academy activities, pay annual dues, and is entitled to full voting rights, including the ability to nominate, be nominated, and engage in the general assembly.
Regular Member
A qualified member must be Fellow in good standing of the Philippine Neurological Association who has completed or is undergoing fellowship training in vascular or interventional neurology but is not yet certified by the subspecialty board, is endorsed by two full members, actively participates in Academy activities, pays annual dues, and may attend and participate in the general assembly without voting or nomination rights.
Associate Member
A qualified member must be a recognized academic or clinical contributor to stroke care, though not a vascular or interventional neurologist, including neurology residency graduates and other specialists, endorsed by two full members of good standing and committed to active involvement in academy activities, exempt from half of the annual dues, and allowed to attend and participate in the general assembly without voting or nomination rights.
Honorary Member
An honorary member is an individual granted membership by the Board in recognition of significant contributions or services to the academy, exempt from annual dues, and allowed to attend and participate in the general assembly without voting
or nomination rights.
